Mega Drive 2 (1992)

The Mega Drive 2 was a hardware update of the original Mega Drive. It played all existing Mega Drive titles. The only differences were the big round socket at the back was removed, the headphone jack and volume control were removed and the power switch was now a button. The Mage Drive 2 was not compatible with the Mega CD so a special Mega CD 2 was produced which worked with both Mega Drive Systems. A new Master System Converter was also produced because the original didn’t fit in the Mega drive 2. The Mega Drive 2 was a lot cheaper than the original since unneeded parts were removed and cheaper chips were used.
