PSOne (2000)
The PSOne is a hardware revision of the original PlayStation console. It is considerably smaller and at the time of release began to outsell all other consoles including Sony’s new PlayStation 2 system. There are only 4 differences between the PlayStation and PSOne. 1. The size and look of the console is different. 2. The Home menus Graphical User Interface (GUI) is different 3. The Main Boards layout has been changes to stop mod chips from working. 4. The PSOne lacks Parallel and Serial ports. Sony also released an LCD Screen that connects to the back of the console. Find out more about it further down the page in the accessories section.
